A rich and indulgent dessert, this German Chocolate Poke Cake is soaked with sweet caramel and condensed milk, topped with a creamy coconut-pecan frosting for the ultimate flavor experience.

Ingredients:

For the Cake:
1 box of German chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients as directed on the box)
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup caramel sauce

For the Topping:
1 container coconut-pecan frosting
1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Whipped cream or extra caramel for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
1️⃣
Bake the Cake:
Prepare the German chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Bake in a 9x13-inch pan.

2️⃣
Poke the Cake:
Once the cake is out of the oven, let it cool slightly for about 10 minutes.

Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.

Add the Filling:
Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.

Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the cake, ensuring it soaks into the holes as well.

4️⃣
Cool the Cake:
Let the cake cool completely, about 1-2 hours, to allow the flavors to meld together.

5️⃣
Frost the Cake:
Spread the coconut-pecan frosting evenly over the top of the cake.

Sprinkle with shredded coconut and chopped pecans for extra texture and flavor (optional).

6️⃣
Garnish and Serve:
For an extra indulgent touch, garnish with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce before serving.
