Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1½ cups granulated sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Ganache:
8 oz dark chocolate (chopped)
1 cup heavy cream
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, but this ensures a moist cake.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips for added richness.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of ganache over the top.
Add the second cake layer and pour the remaining ganache over the top, spreading it evenly and allowing it to drip down the sides for a glossy finish.

Garnish with chocolate curls, fresh berries, or a dusting of cocoa powder for extra elegance.
Slice and enjoy this chocolate masterpiece!
