Here's how to whip up this delicious cake:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup hot water
For the fudge frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and get your cake pans ready! 

2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Set it aside! 

3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs and vanilla—so delicious! 

4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet, alternating with the milk. Remember, don’t overmix! 

5. Gradually stir in hot water until the batter is smooth—it’ll be thin! 

6. Pour the batter into your prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick! 

7. Once cooled, make the fudge frosting by beating the butter, then adding the sugar and cocoa. How yummy!
