Ingredients:
For the Cake:
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 4 large eggs
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Powdered sugar (for dusting)
For the Filling:
• 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Ganache Topping (Optional):
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps:
1. Preheat the Oven:
◦ Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 10x15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

2. Make the Cake Batter:
◦ In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

◦ In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes until thick and pale.

◦ Gently fold in the vanilla extract and dry ingredients until combined.
3. Bake the Cake:
◦ Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.

4. Roll the Cake:
◦ While the cake is warm, carefully invert it onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Remove the parchment paper and roll the cake (with the towel) tightly from the short end. Let it cool completely.

5. Prepare the Filling:
◦ In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

6. Fill the Cake Roll:
◦ Unroll the cooled cake and spread the whipped cream filling evenly. Roll it back up (without the towel) and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to set.

7. Make the Ganache Topping (Optional):
◦ Heat the heavy cream until steaming, then pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Allow to cool slightly, then pour over the cake roll for a rich finish.

8. Serve and Enjoy:
◦ Slice and serve your chocolate cake roll dusted with powdered sugar or decorated with ganache. Perfect for any occasion!

A soft, rich chocolate cake filled with creamy goodness—this roll is a guaranteed showstopper!
