Ingredients

For the Crust:

200g chocolate cookies, crushed

50g sugar

80g melted butter


For the Cheesecake Filling:

450g cream cheese, softened

150g sugar

2 eggs

200g dark chocolate, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract


For the German Chocolate Topping:

100g sweetened shredded coconut

100g chopped pecans

120ml evaporated milk

100g brown sugar

60g butter

1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Crust

Mix crushed chocolate cookies, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 10 minutes, then let it cool.

2️⃣ Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the melted dark chocolate and vanilla extract. Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Bake at 160°C (325°F) for 45 minutes, then let it cool completely.

3️⃣ Prepare the German Chocolate Topping

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and mix in the shredded coconut and chopped pecans. Let cool slightly.

4️⃣ Assemble & Chill

Spread the prepared topping evenly over the cooled cheesecake. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
